Trying to get officejet 6110 scanning working. Got “member not found” error message.
Downloaded msicuu2.exe (Microsoft Installer CleanUp Utility).
Still had entries for the AIO and other hp printer stuff.
Not sure what the [2.99.0000.00] and the [3.99.9999.00] entries are at the top. Here’s a screen capture:
Best way to discover what those are is to search the registry for the numbers (without the [ ]). So, searched for 2.99.0000.00 and discovered it was associated with my thinkpad rescue and recovery software. The 3.99.9999.00 was also associated with it, I’m assuming because it was upgraded.
I’m rebooting now so we’ll see if I’m able to get this scanning working.
I lost. Couldn’t ever get it working. I ended up re-installing (IBM rescue and recovery) to an earlier date. Moral of the story… don’t install the corporate version of the HP printer software if you think you might ever go to the full version. Better to do the full first, then remove that and go to the corporate driver.
